Reese’s Oatmeal Cookies

December 8, 2009

I really like Reese’s Pieces, and since I’ve been home sick for a few days, I decided to make some soft oatmeal cookies.  Voila!  Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

You will need:

  • 2 sticks margarine, softened
  • 1 c light brown sugar
  • ½ c sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • ½ t almond extract
  • ½ t salt
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 2 t cinnamon
  • 2 t nutmeg
  • 1 ½ c whole wheat flour
  • 3 c old-fashioned oats
  • 1 c Reese’s Pieces (or more!)

Then you…

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Cream together butter and sugars.
  3. Add in eggs and extracts.  Mix well.
  4. Add in salt, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.  Mix well.
  5. Stir in flour.  Add oats.
  6. Mix in candy.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoon on to an  ungreased cookie sheet and bake about 15 minutes.  You want the edges to just be turned golden, as they will continue to harden as they cool!
